OOB released (Out of Body inducer)

Postby Wayne on Mon Oct 01, 2007 5:37 am

As seen on the main page, I have released a new sequence called OOB. Check them out here.

SBG
mp3

I made this script to induce an out of body experience as based on some information here.

The meat of the sequence is here:
Code: Select all
350+40/7 320+21.767/8 260+13.935/10

Let me know how well it works.

Hi Wayne

As you see i'm new to this forum. I was into "learning" lucid dreaming the last few months, and stumbled across OOBE through the book of William Buhlman.

Yesterday i discover sbagen and have tested "Focus 10 b".

Although i'm new to sbagen and oobe, i would like to test around a little bit, also with your oobe beat...will do that in the next days.

But i got question about sbagen and your oobe beat:

As i listen to the "focus 10" yesterday, i was sitting in front of the pc and was listening to the sound for about 50 minutes. After that i was going directly to sleep.

What is the best way to use this beat? Do i have to listen to them in my bed while i'm trying to sleep or is it ok to listen to them, sitting in front of the pc with the headset? And how long and loud should you listen to the beats to have an impact?

About your oobe beat: Does this beat makes your brain awake and your body asleep like the focus 10, or works this beat on another way (just to know if i should i use it on workdays or on weekend....was pretty tired the morning after i tested focu 10, because most of the night my body was asleep, but my mind was awake..)

thx for your replies

Roeschu, if you want to induce an out of body experience its best to listen to these beats laying down on your back, comfortable enough to completely let your guard down (i.e. knowing that you won't be disturbed). Try laying down on a hard surface instead of your bed, because your more likely to fall asleep on your bed. The point is to induce a state of "mind awake body asleep." You want to be feel comfortable enough to completely let your guard down but not so comfortable that you loose consciousness and go to sleep. So listening to them in front of your computer in a chair is probably not the best way to achieve an out of body experience.

You don't have to listen to binaural beats loud, just above background noise is fine. Just enough to hear the beat.

So basically my "oob" beat specifically was made to put you into a low delta state then go into that three voice tone that I defined, to induce the OOBE. Its a bit different than focus 10.

The focus series is made to gradually get you to go out of body by going through each of the focus series; i.e., focus 10 then focus 12 and so on. I made this sequence a little more expedited. Maybe in the future I'll make an OOBE series. :)

Good preset...

Postby Blair on Fri Oct 26, 2007 11:33 pm

Yes I agree with the previous poster, this is a really good preset. I heard it a few times now, and I really like it. There is something about the pure simplicity of the tone (binaural too) that sometimes overly complicated scripts like my SuperJustMed just can't seem to duplicate. Using the osters curve data also seems to make a really good difference!!! Nice job!

Hi! I have a problem with this sequence when I try to use it on SbaGen (On Mac Os) the terminal gives me this error:

Bus erroroffCombined ->21.767/8 260+13.935/10

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I also have a perplexity about this preset,
ts11, ts12, ts13 and ts14 are declared but never used in the timeline.
Is this casual or made by which purpose?

I have never gotten an OBE period. However, I did get some pretty good vibrations and feelings while using this last night. Pretty good. I will be using this again tonight as well. :D

Personally, I fall short in knowing how to OBE. I dont know if I am supposed to actually open physical eyes or they just open when I OBE...also, people always say that a way of getting out of your body is to jerk out or whatever the term is used by whomever, anyways, I'm afraid to move because I dont want to move my physical body and wake up completely..so which brings me back to square one -> I never had an OBE yet.

I used this the past 2 nights. I have never had an OOBE, and dont exactly know how to get one, but I figured this might help. The closest I have come I believe was after I had smoked some marijuana and layed down. I felt the vibrations and a sort of rocking sensation... as soon as I felt that, I got excited and killed the vibrations... but thats a different story.

I have used this preset the past 2 nights, and both nights I started to feel heavy, and then slowly lose consiousness as if I were slipping into sleep. And then right around 25-26 minutes or so I get woken up suddenly and start getting energy, like flicking my toes, and bouncing my leg. Last night I had woken up at the same time and decided to play it from the beginning a second time. Again, I layed there for a few minutes, then I started to feel the heaviness set in. I slowly lost consiousness again. But I started to wake up with energy again right around the 25-26 minute mark. By that time it was past midnight so i just ripped the headphones off and turned over hoping to fall back into that deep sleep that the first 25 minutes had induced.

If nothing else, this preset is excellent for knocking me out. I really want to have an OOBE though.

I think i might know what you were going for. Slowing the body, and putting the body to sleep, and then a sharp increase to keep the mind awake while the body sleeps. Its just that the sharp increase around 25 minutes is waking me up with energy after a short nap.

Im gonna have a look at the code later on, But I was wondering if i could get any insight to this preset, and how its supposed to work, or why it might be affecting me in this way.

thanks!

Esotherics might argue with that but OOB is simply when your body falls alseep but your mind stays awake, you will then expirience sleep paralysis which happens every night.
It keeps you from walking around in the real world when you dream about walking around.

This rocking sensation is the beginning of sleep paralysis.
When you manage to do that you will be in a lucid dream instantly.

It never worked for me unfortunately because I get anxious when it starts.

I tried this preset for 2 nights with negative side effects, see two posts above. After 2 nights of negative side effects I decided to actually have a look at the code.

Right at 25 minutes, the preset jumps from 4-6 hertz all the way to a combination of 40 hertz, 21 hertz and 14 hertz... well above the restful range. I think this jump occurs in 5 minutes, so the user is brough from 6.8 hertz down to 3.6 hertz over the course of 20 minutes. This is extremely effective at putting me to sleep. But then from 20-25 minutes the user is suddenly brought up to a cobination of 40 hertz, 21 hertz and 14 hertz. being brought down to 3.6 and then jumping to 20ish hertz within 5 minutes, its very stressful.

Can someone walk me through the reasons for each step of the file? Personally I would think you would want to bring everything down slowly 6 hertz down to 3 lets say, and then slowly raise the mind back up with a very subtle introduction of an increasing beat...

Also, and MUCH more trivially, what is the difference between == and ->. As far as i knew = was supposed to make a smooth slide, but it seems like -> is being used here to do a constant slide between definitions... *confused*

Thanks

if i could add two cents-- tough, since things seem to be on a slim budget these days-- here's the KEY:

don't force it... why? think about how hard it is to do ANYTHING on purpose. try driving the exact speed limit while staying in your lane precisely in the middle. can't be done, if you're really "focused." for that matter, try to pedal a bike without wobbling. no can do, partner, unless you just "let go," and just do it.

so just "do" it. don't think. do. play, if you have to. without expectations. without preconceptions. just "let go." it's what we mean when we say, "let go..."

if you're used to limits, you're bound. but these guys set no limits. so don't make any.

deal?

ps- on a subtle side, once you let go, your body knows what it needs... let IT be your guide.

I tried this one 1st time last night. Strange thing happened. Unsure if I had fallen asleep but thought I heard someone moaning in pain. It woke me up quite suddenly but I could still hear it. I took the headphones off and it stopped. Tried putting them back on again, it didn't return. I didn't bother continuing with it after that.

I tried it again when I got home tonight, it was too early to do it I now realise - noise of cars outside, of stuff happening in the house, too distracting. After the 1st 20 mins of slide I had the usual mind drifting to unusual and unexpected thoughts, and feeling nice and relaxed, breathing slowed etc. When the OOB tone set started I felt my breathing rate increase and struggled to put images in my mind. No OOB but I'm thinking it might take more than few attempts, for the body to get accustomed to what this preset is trying to achieve. Fun to try though.

Another strange thing on my 2nd attempt, when I perceived the preset finished, I got up and realised I had been lying down 30 minutes longer than the length of the preset, though I don't recall losing consciousness (sleeping) at all. It's possible I just didn't have perception of having fallen asleep.
